A very technical product for very technical people.
I purchased this to look at my own MRI images, provided by the hospital. I figured it would be a simple viewer that would show pretty 3D images of my spine.
The user interface is a bit sparse. It’s not exactly clear what to do or what the many controls do, nor is there a lot of help within the app.
Eventually I got it to display 3D images. They were certainly impressive but in the end not too useful to me.
Perhaps if you are a medical professional who looks at these things all day long you would get quite excited and the controls and technical words would be more obvious to you. For the layman, this product is most likely to be way, way more obscure than you would end up enjoying.
The user interface is not elegant. It is more “functional” without working through the UI nuances that is more typical of Apple products. Buy this if you are a doctor-geek and not as a lay-person.
The company has been very communicative and has helped resolve some problems reading a few of the files.
